Graham Forrest plots his way through the trees at East Berks

The UKSGA were welcomed again at the excellent East Berks on 8/9 May.  
We were greeted with good weather, although dry so we needed preferred-lies but the course was well prepared as usual!
Scoring was tricky but as always we had some excellent performances.

Winning overall was Graham Forrest ( a worthy winner from the City of Newcastle GC).   The only other player to break 150 was Ashley Brewer (Denham GC) in 2nd place overall and who also won the Super Seniors Division.   Ian Newlove (Wollaton Park GC) collected the Bronze Medal ..
In the Super Seniors - Ashley wins from Stephen Hughes (Stockport GC) and third George Wilson Calcot Park GC).  All very competitive!
The Masters was also close with John Yuill (Newmarket GC) winning again followed by Alan MacNaught Colchester GC) in second and Ian Foster (Bishops Stortford GC) third on countback!  Alan also won the ESGA Over 75 gross.
The Nett prizes were also well contested with over all winner being Alan MacNaught with 132 followed by Terry Falck (Isle of Purbeck GC) & Alistair Booth (Frilford Heath GC) our New England President on C/B.                                                   Ps Even with these excellent nett scores the PCC went up one on both days!

A great event and we look forward to our return!
